That’s the long and the short of it, really. A lifelong equestrian, Phoebe’s philosophy on the relationship between horses and humans is simple: it should be fun. Having spent her childhood galloping bareback through the vineyards on her senior Appaloosa in Napa, Phoebe knows that showing isn’t the only path in the equestrian world. Her passion for learning has exposed her to many different training styles and philosophies, from dressage to reining to ranch riding to jumping and more, and she’s never found any of it boring, unlike her brief foray into a desk job in college.
Phoebe’s diverse professional background actually began with the circus - no, really. As an entertainment professional, Phoebe spent several years working for Cirque du Soleil, touring with a musical, and working on cruise ships, and has not one, but multiple stories about angry clowns to prove it.
Phoebe moved home to be near her family in 2016, and since then has been heavily involved in the Sonoma & Marin County horse communities in many capacities, including 3 years as an equine vet tech with a mobile veterinary service, and worked for several other local dressage trainers before devoting herself full time to H2.
Phoebe’s interests outside of horseback riding include adventures with her assistant (a Golden Retriever), watching bad reality TV, and an endless quest for the perfect truffle cheese.
